Because I took my care giver training six months ago, I knew the strict rules and regulation in hospitals. I have a number of scrubs I bought at a local store and used it all through out the duration of my training. It also had to attend a one month training in a dental clinic so I had to wear dental hygiene scrubs which was provided for by the clinic itself.

The last 2 months of my training was concentrated on a hospital care facility in a nearby town where I had to care for newly born kids. The scrubs used there were different so I had to wear different one. My friends brought all their stuff online through a website that says something like "Doctors scrubs for sale".

Hospital uniform suppliers are everywhere on the Internet so I don't think you'll even run out of stores to find the best scrub for you. But my only advice is that you carefully choose the type of store where to buy your scrubs from because not all of them offer the same type of quality as the others. But I'm glad I found the right store for me that offers the best of quality at an excellent price.

So I'm looking for eye wear specialist for the past few days because I really need to get my eye grade updated. I just had a computerized eye grade last week so I settled to ordering online instead so that I could save money. The fact that online eyeglass makers are cheaper but have the same quality as those found in traditional malls, it gives me more reason to shop online more than ever.

So the ordering process is nice, fast, and efficient and I never was given the run around when I call customer service. Blogging is my past time. Since I found the joy of blogging when I worked as a writer in 2005, I learned quite a lot of things on how the web works especially the blogs. I used to have a free blog but bought a domain at $10 without knowing that there are free domain web host out there where I get almost the same service without that yearly fee. I still am thinking of a better way to blog without the fee but I still need to check if that's what I want. Nevertheless, I am happy with the paid ones and will probably try the free one soon.

Because I am wearing glasses I am required to change my glass grade regularly. Somewhat like every two years. I usually have my eye examined and if the glasses need changing, I then buy my prescription eyeglasses online. I think it's more cost-efficient for me since I get to save a lot when buying my glasses on the Internet.

My last eyeglasses grade change was in 2007. I think it's high time that I need to have my eyes checked to see if it needs changing. I started feeling dizzy a few months back and I never realized that it could be about my grade not fitting to what my eyes need at the moment.

How I wish I have a perfect vision! But of course I am still thankful that I still have the ability to see when some others out there are totally blind. Little things that we sometimes need to be thankful for.

In my previous post, mom asked me to help her out in her shopping for blinds. As we were browsing one online store, she saw this very Cheap Blinds and she loved it. It turned out that the expensive blinds I bought her didn't appeal to her! Hmm...

Now, she asked to buy six (6) of them so that it would cover her entire living room. Mom lives with my two siblings and my nephew so she wants a bigger house, hence, the renovation every month. Another Blind Item

Now let me make it clear that mom just had a change of thought about the kind of blinds she'll put on her newly renovated living room. Now I'm confused! I think she wants this blackout roller blinds she saw online. I want to kiss mom now! I mean, she changes her mind every 20 seconds! Hmm...Had it not her birthday in the coming week, I'll definitely get mad. But well, mom and is mom and she wil ever be the same sweet mom I'll deal with.

So I got her call yesterday and ask me if I can accompany her to do some online shopping. Mom likes it but she just can't deal with a computer. You know the old folks not wanting to do anything with a computer but likes everything that it can do for them like shopping and places to visit. Because mom is in her 60s I let her do what she wants and even ask her to go out. I want her to enjoy, that's it. :)

I told her that I'll be coming in tomorrow to help her shop for another blinds to match to her interiors. I hope she'll get to decide which color and design she wants this time.

Well, I was browsing on Hanukkah cards online now that the All Saint's Day is near. I know that Hanukkah is different in many respect but I think they are the same in terms of the kind of the use of lights during the holiday.

I think it is celebrated by the Jewish people and occur between November and December. I have this friend online so I am sending him this Hanukkah cards next month so that it will come in time for their celebration. I've seen a lot of these online and they're very cheap. Some are free but printing could cost you a bit. That's better than buying in stores plus the postage which is really expensive.

I think you guys have seen this candle holder or candelabrum called Hanukiah. There's a special way of lighting the candles in there starting from the first to the eight day. It's very symbolical but I cannot explain everything here since I'm not a Jew myself. But this is a very important celebration among them and something that we all should respect just as the way they respect us when we celebrate Christmas. :)

Much Needed Vacation

I think I'm gonna pass out if I won't get a vacation anytime soon! The stress level I'm feeling right now is enough to bring me to a state of coma. I think I need to see a beach or something so I saw myself looking for cottages rent rates yesterday.

Job is OK but I sometimes feel that I overwork and I forget to relax myself a bit. I'm thinking of getting myself a one month vacation but I guess I cannot afford to leave my co-workers hanging and leave all my projects for them to work on. Besides my boss is good person and I just can't disappoint him.

Casino Español de Cebu

I was in Cebu last weekend and had a very exciting trip with some friends. We went to Mactan and visited the nearby beaches and resorts. The place is really nice and its like a new Manila less the pollution and congestion. We also visited Casino Español de Cebu and played some casino games and stuff. I also got complimentary casino bonus from the manager which allowed me to play some complimentary casino games in the house such as poker and roulette games and a little of slot machines. It was fun!

Just this morning, I was looking for files online when I stumbled on a pdf search site where it allowed me to find information I never thought available on the Internet.

What's good about these files is that they are available in PDF format so it's quite easy for me to download and open these files on my iPad. All I can tell you is that with iPad, as with all of our products, all we did was create something that we want to use. We’re just so glad that you want to use it too. It’s humbling, actually. When you devote your entire life to the endless, selfless quest to improve the lives of others; when you live a monk-like existence, and focus all of your power and genius on the singular goal of creating objects that nourish souls and transform people’s lives with magic and wonder; and when people tell you that this is, indeed, what you’ve done — well, it’s gratifying. Some pundits have posed the question: Why do anyone need this thing? Indeed, even those of you are lining up and standing outside stores may be wondering, Why am I doing this? Why am I lining up like a zombie for an expensive piece of consumer electronics, a product for which there is no shortage and which, let’s face it, nobody really needs? On Sports Gaming

I just love sports. I love each of the sports out there but the one that I enjoy the most is football and volleyball. I was one of the few people in class back in high school who got the chance to be with some of the best varsity players in our school's team. I was able to make it on the first round but due to flu I was forced to stay in a hospital for the rest of the inter-school academic sports game. So i ended up doing sport bets with my friends play guessing game as to what team or school division team will win the championship game.

Today, I still play a bit but I am now more on calisthenics and a bit of body-building. I am no longer as flexible as before but I refuse to admit that I am old. Well, that's probably a sign that I am because old folks are always on denial about their age.

My Printer Needs an Ink Refill

I will be in Manila again tomorrow for my Spanish class. Going to Manila everyday is not easy. At the end of the day, all my energies are all washed out that all I can do is just eat and sleep. Google Considering Pulling Out Business From China

The recent cyber attacks on e-mail accounts of some China's human rights activists is today's hot topic for discussion. I know that most of you have already read or heard this a few days ago, but many blogs have continually written about this topic which seems that the online world seems to be paying attention to this apparent malicious attack on Google's security infrastructure. The government of China is continuously denying the hacking attack accusations and still yet to issue formal statement to deny it.

Meanwhile, the US and the Chinese Government are yet headed for another talk on this issue and consider Google's claim of unauthorized access to Google accounts by third parties linked to the Chinese government. This might sound like a grave accusation from the world's Internet giant and we're hoping that the result will end in a favorable result for both party.

I met an old friend yesterday while I was in the mall. We've been classmates since elementary and it was the first time that we met yesterday since we graduated high school. We're kind of both in a hurry so we just exchanged contact number so we can talk other time. Too bad my phone's battery was dead so I just ask him to write his number on a piece of paper.

As soon as I got home, I decided to send him a text message so he can save my number as well. But when I looked for that piece of paper, I can't seem to find it. I remember putting it in my pocket the moment he handed it to me. I'm starting to lose my patience and I still couldn't find it. What a waste of time!

That's it. Because of what happened, I finally decided to have business cards done for me so I can quickly give out my information to anyone that I meet especially in unexpected times. I actually am searching for cool designs of business cards online because it's way cheaper and faster as compared to those in the malls. I used to create cheap invitations for weddings, birthday parties, business meeting, etc...I just stopped because it really takes so much of my time and before I even finish them, I seriously feel totally exhausted.

Well, that was before when computers and digital printers were not yet popular. I used a traditional letterpress which is still functional until today. I reserve its use for some very important event. It takes a lot of patience and physical endurance to be able to do a few invitations though, but the results are timeless and classic; something that you'd like to keep as a souvenir.

Today, most invitations are done in digital format. There's nothing wrong with digital as they are very creative and colorful at that, but there's something in letterpress that you'll surely love, but each has their own beauty and share of advantages and disadvantages. I guess if budget is to consider, one would surely not go for letterpress as its expensive and time-consuming. Someone is even buying my letterpress machine from me, but for purpose of sentimental value, I intend to keep it until my last breath.

Government Websites Not That Secure After All

A few days ago, it was reported that the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) in the Philippines was reported to have been hacked. Its website was defaced and replaced with Arabic characters and weird greetings. Just when you thought that government websites are the most stable and secure, you will hear this disgraceful news about the website being hacked by some professional hackers on the Internet.

When I worked as a Fraud specialist in one of the biggest Internet providers in our city, I knew how these hackers benefit from such activities. Hacking is both illegal and immoral; immoral in the sense that you disrespect those who are working very hard to keep a website running smoothly for the benefit of other people.

You see, DoLE is a government website that runs to help the needy get the job they need to support their family, defacing it and hacking it for the purpose of fun or to gain money is both against the law and disrespectful to the general public. This message is a general appeal to all the hackers in the world who care less about interest. Tougher laws should be instituted against cyber crimes and governments across the globe should invest heavily on security.

Are You Saving Enough For Your Future?

Before I resigned from work a month ago, I started saving up. I started up a Certificate of Deposit account (a time deposit) which matures for a year and pays an interest which is way higher than a regular savings account.

The cd rates were up last year that's why Ijavascript:void(0) took advantage of the situation. Somehow, banks cannot afford to lose money so they somehow offered interest rate which is a bit higher than before. Now that its a month to go before it matures, I'm excited already and I think I'm gonna try it once more since saving at the bank discourages me from unconscionable spending.

If I ever name my new year's resolution, it would be "Save Up in 2010". I think I've learned the hard way, that's why I am somewhat aggressive in my money-saving strategies and think hard enough before I buy something, if it doesn't answer the question, "do you really need it right now?" or something similar, then I would most likely not buy it.

Ever heard of Washington DC suing AT&T for not turning over unused prepaid calling card from consumers? According to the latest news, Washington DC is claiming all these unused prepaid calling card balances as they are treated as the district's property if the customers failed to use them for the last three years especially if the prepaid owner's last known addy was WDC.

Well, the Philippines had a similar issue although it hasn't been brought to the limelight because of people's less involvement in civic actions and demonstrations usually letting things pass.

This is a hot talk in town and I am still looking into the issues surrounding this lawsuit. Reuters stated in its website,

...that sum, known in the industry as "breakage," represents some 5 to 20 percent of the total balances purchased by consumers who use the calling cards.

Other municipalities have also instituted similar laws for retail gift card balances that were not used by owners. AT&T is absolutely on a hot seat on this issue.

Looking for a Debt-Free New Year!

I've spent my whole new year's eve celebrating with friends and family at home in the city. I've never seen them in months so I decided to visit them and spend the whole two days celebrating at my old folk's house.

I know 2009 wasn't bad at all for me financially but I guess I needed a bit of catching up to to do for my savings account. It seemed that I have bought a lot of electronic gadgets lately and forget about adding up a few portion of my earnings to my bank account.

Before I resigned from work last month, I filed for personal loans on my home development mutual fund savings to anticipate some expenses needed for my enrollment at the language school this month. I was surprised to see the amount because its almost my one month salary. Even my social security loan would never grant such amount. My loan proceeds amount probably wouldn't be that big had it not been from my excellent credit standing.

There's a price to pay when you commit to pay for a loan and forget about it; its like ruining your credit reputation, and once this reputation is destroyed, its so hard to get it back and get loans for mortgage, salary loans, etc.

Seppukoo Threatened by Facebook

If you're using Facebook, you've probably encountered Seppukoo, that application/service that lets you temporarily "kill your online identity"? Now Facebook didn't seem to like it and has sent a letter to Seppukoo administrator to desist their operation under the premise that it violates Facebook's terms of service.

Mashable.com listed some reasons why Seppukoo should stop their service:

Soliciting users’ Facebook login information.
Accessing a Facebook account that belongs to someone else.
Collecting users’ content or information using automated means.
Sending commercial communications.
Using Facebook’s intellectual property.

I never used Seppukoo because I'm afraid that it will completely cancel my account. I have more than 1,000 friends and I cannot compromise on "temporarily" canceling my Facebook account and reactivate it once I sign on. I think I got how the service works if I am not mistaken.

Seppukoo's website has revealed its stance against Facebook's apparent threat on the existence of their service. As of today, the Les Liens Invisibles, the group behind Seppukoo makes it clear that it

"...rejects every false pretence |pretense) about phishing or malitious (malicious) use of personal datas and pubblically (publicly)...

"
Although I haven't used Seppukoo, I'm not sure about the things they're doing that's considered illegal or something. As long as they (Seppukoo) proved that they are not literally using FB account holder's information in any way, they've got nothing to fear about.

If I am not mistaken, there were plans of putting Firefox 3.6 on the stream before the end of 2009 and Firefox 4.0 at the early first quarter of 2010. Yes. Twitter was hacked - for the nth time. Apparently, this 3rd party DNS hacking thing was claimed to be done by this "Iranian Cyber Army" who stuffed the microblogging site with their text and logos and other weird images. Its kind of funny to note that with the technology employed by one of the most popular and visited websites in the web, their security is still not reliable.

I use Twitter, and I kinda like it. The fact that you are able to share pretty cool and, sometimes, dull and not-so-important updates or information is fascinating. Quite a simple networking tool but if you'll appreciate it once you got hooked into it. But the downside is, the more friends you get, and random additions you'll have, the more complicated and boring it becomes.

I just noticed that there is a white spot growing just at the top of the my lower eyelid and I got a bit nervous that it was something more serious. Upon checking on some websites, I come to find out that mine is like a milia . Milia isn't that dangerous but it seems that it might have caused by stress and irritation from the stuffs you use on your face like soaps and harsh facial washes.

I hope I could take a picture of the milia on my lower eyelid but my camera can't seem to capture it clearly. So let me give you a picture from wikipedia so that you would know how it looks like.

Milia can either be removed by a dermatologists or aesthetic technician.
